Fleckney and Kibworth Running Club have been very busy over the summer with races, events and club runs.
Representing the club at the Market Harborough Carnival 10k were Jonathan Morgan (44:04), Jim Hawley (51:24), Aileen Collins (57:24), Chris Lydiate (1:04) and Steve West (1:06).
Jonathan Eyles took up a solo spot at Rutland 10k, finishing in 53:16. This was good preparation for his upcoming challenge of The Great North Run.

Tracey Coates took on the very challenging 5-day Scottish orienteering Moray 2023, she completed all 5 days and finished 25th in her age category.
Some members of the club took in the beautiful and historic scenery at the Garendon Gallop 10k. Finishing first for the club was Steve West in 1:14, followed by Jenny McNair (1:21) and Emily Pierce (1:21).

Jenny McNair, Tracey Coates tackled the undulating trails of Beacon Hill for Rise of the Phoenix 5-mile race, both completing in 1:13:09.

Alex Prettyman took on the Stour Valley Path Ultra, completing an impressive 100km in 11:43:23 and gaining 10thplace overall.
The League races continued with Prestwold 10k, great results considering very warm conditions. Bernadette Owen came in first for the team (52:51), followed by Jamie Owen (55:57), Emma Boyd (1:01), Steve West (1:04) and Gary Lawrence (1:19).
Joy Cann 5 was the penultimate Leicestershire Road Running League race, which was well represented by the team. First in was Bernadette Owen (39:34) followed by Jim Hawley (39:56), Abby Jackson (40:09), Steve West (45:13), Emma Boyd (46:43), Gary Lawrence (54:54) and Tor Hawley (59:39).

The Leicestershire Road Running League ended with a warm and hilly Rotherby 8. Coming in first for the club and her age category was Bernadette Owen (1:10:18), followed by Emma Boyd (1:19:09), John Redfearn (1:23:22) and Steve West (1:28:53).
Social Club Runs have been aplenty, including a charity evening help by Rachel Earland that successfully raised £188.75 for Stroke Association UK.
